SpringHill Suites by Marriott Harrisburg Hershey

The area was great and convenient to the airport, city's of Harrisburg and Hershey and some good restaurants. The hotel building was nice. The rooms were nice but we stayed in one owned by the same organization in a small college town in Texas the week prior and the rooms were nicer. Staying on the first floor we heard kids jumping off beds and running late at night and early in the morning. The breakfast was stocked our first morning and the lady kept it clean but the next morning when the man was handling it, it wasn't. Our trip was for a funeral and tine with extended family.

Room was ok. They had sliding doors on bathroom and shower room which was kinda see-through. The handle on bathroom door was broken and the shower clogged every time you used it. Breakfast as super basic and simple. Not bad but just nothing to write home about. The staff were nice. Their pool is super small. Was.charged an extra fee after we left and was told it was for 'incidentals' and that it would come off my card in 2-3 days!! Not cool. Waiting and checking to make sure it happens but its not great service when I had no knowledge of a random charge put against my card. I'd find another hotel next time to see the difference. There was one right next to this one so there are options.

I stay in hotels about 50 nights a year and this stay was probably one of the best in recent memory. Great location, right off the highway in a safe area, plenty of parking, and a very welcoming front desk and lobby area. I was very pleasantly surprised at how much space the room had… A bonus for those traveling in groups is that at least the room type I had —- the shower and the toilet are in separate spaces, both with a sink. The room was extremely well appointed and very clean. Standard breakfast buffet in the morning, as well as a nice lobby bar and some games downstairs. Everything generally felt premium without a ridiculous luxury price tag. I usually don’t leave reviews, but what made this stay stand out was my interaction with another guest and the hotel GM over breakfast. Scott clearly takes pride in every small detail of the hotel, and we had the most pleasant conversation… Definitely the right way to start the day before a rainy drive to my destination. Oh absolutely be coming back whenever I need to stay in the Harrisburg area!
